There are times when we really need to talk to someone. We may have problems, concerns, issues that we need to talk out. Sometimes however we also need advice. In this case a qualified listener can not only empathise, they can also guide us on what to do.

Sometimes people reach out to the Quiet Place with God for advice. As a learner of the Word, (and a stumbling one at that), I am no way qualified in matters of theology. You are always welcome in this little sanctuary and the aim of the site is to share my love for God and provide a quiet place where you can read God’s Word and listen to hymns.

When I created the website long ago, I wrote about reaching out to your local pastor should you need advice on God’s Word. That still stands true. However, I also want to remind you if you’re feeling overwhelmed and need the best listener, you can always turn to GOD. He promises us in Psalm 145:18, that He is near to all who call on Him in truth. He also tells us in Philippians 4:6-7 not to be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let our requests be made known Him. Then His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

I hope dear Reader you understand that in this little quiet place you can depend on a welcoming and empathetic ear. However the author is unqualified to give advice. Please don’t be offended or feel ignored if I cannot answer your question – rather I don’t want to give anyone the wrong answer especially in matters of the Word. A learned teacher can help you in the form of a pastor and they can help you grow your relationship with God, our ultimate Teacher and Advisor.
