Looking Through Christ-Centered Eyes

How do you see the world dear Reader? Specifically how do you see people? Its easy sometimes when a person does something we don’t like, to jump into a judgemental attitude. Or maybe I’m speaking for myself.

I have found that in the past, I theoretically respected all people, until I experienced being portrayed through gossip as something I am not. The fact that it bothered me brought home the realization that I didn’t really look at all people from an equitable perspective. I judged people. Sometimes harshly. When I experienced that same judgement reflected back onto myself, I learned to look at people differently. I learned to see others with love, humility and compassion. God taught me to look at people through Christ-centered eyes.

Dear Reader, I hope as you go about your day that you look at others the way Jesus does. When someone does something to annoy you, choose patience. In Matthew 7:1 God tells us “judge not, that you be not judged”. Believe me, that is true.

Let your lasting impression on someone else be that of kindness, tolerance and encouragement. Let them feel the love of Jesus through your actions. You never know how long and deeply they will hold that encounter in their hearts.

God bless ~ Mary
