Are there times in your life when you want to ask GOD, “why me Lord ?” Sometimes when we go through seasons of trials and our faith is severely tested it can be easy to doubt GOD. I did. When I went through a sustained period of trial, I often asked God “why?”. What did I do to deserve this pain and these difficulties? I didn’t feel angry with GOD but I felt confused and, although I know I was wrong to feel this way, I felt let down. There was a period when I felt that if I didn’t turn to GOD, I might turn away. I almost failed that test of faith but thankfully GOD reminded me of His promise in Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you.
And He kept His promise. Although I experienced pain and distress, He didn’t let it overcome me. He gently led and guided me through that season. He kept my head above water when I felt like I might drown. And I found my faith in GOD was strengthened by that season of hardship.
If you are going through a season of trial, be assured that GOD will guide you through it. You won’t be overcome by your circumstances. The period of trouble will end and you will come out of it stronger than before
God bless you
