Are you happy? Nehemiah 8:10 tells us that the joy of the LORD is your strength. Happiness is a decision we make. That may sound trite but it’s true. And we need to be conscious of the attempts of the enemy to destroy our joy. And there will be many. From the negative thoughts we think about ourselves, to our feelings of hopelessness or depression even to the enemy’s influence over the rude motorist who cut in front of us while driving.
The enemy tries relentlessly to discourage and disempower us. When that happens, change your thinking towards the positive. Turn your thoughts towards whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things (Philippians 4:8) and when you do you will find happiness creeping back into your heart. Today decide to be happy. Ask GOD for His strength and peace then you will find a deep, abiding joy that no one can ever take away.
