When you’re overwhelmed

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” ~ Philippians 4:6-7

Sometimes we may feel like we have so many duties it feels like we’re drowning. Did I just describe your life? It seems impossible to do everything to the best of our ability within the confines of the day. But you know what? What may seem insurmountable to us, is nothing at all to God. Even if our tasks seem too much for us, we can take a deep breath and pray. That’s when we’ll see the provision of God and find peace amidst what may seem like chaos. And this peace is one that surpasses all understanding and that no one can take away.

As sun begins to set on this day and Sabbath settles in, I’m grateful for the peace and rest from our daily tasks. Nothing is overwhelming for God and when our focus is on Christ and the knowledge that He is our strength, we’ll find nothing is unconquerable for us.

God bless you ~A
