Have you ever heard that term “YOLO”? It means You Only Live Once. I don’t know if younger people still say it (I’m not young anymore so I don’t know). The principle is that we only live once so we should make the most of our time.
Although it may not be the intended message of the saying YOLO (which tended to hash tag around photos of people doing their “bucket list” activities) it does bring to mind that fact that our earthly time is finite and so are our opportunities to share the Good News of salvation and store up our heavenly treasures. Psalm 90:12 says “teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom”. Knowing that our time is limited helps us to remember to make our days matter – to serve GOD and others as best we can, while we can.
I hope dear Reader as we live and wait for Christ to return, you make the most of your time in serving GOD. May we take the time to love our families and serve our communities. To introduce others to Christ. To make every day count!
God bless ~ Mary
What an important point. If we wait for a nice easy time to share the gospel, it may never come.
