We love because He first loved us.. ~ John 4:19

It can be difficult sometimes to realise how much you are loved. Maybe there are even times when you find other people’s love for you hard to accept because you feel unworthy of their deep affection.

Similarly it’s easy to wonder why GOD, the maker of all heaven and earth would love us. Surely there are better creatures than us to love. Why would He care about our lives, our worries, or our fears?

The good news is that God’s nature is love. He loves us deeply, unconditionally and eternally. As humbling as it is to realise that GOD loves us, we need to accept it! In return we can love Him with all our heart, our soul and mind (Matthew 22:37). We can show our love for Him by having faith and obeying His teachings.

Importantly, we need to accept, and treasure that fact that nothing we do will ever stop Him from loving us. What a wonderful truth!
