Did you ever have a mentor, a teacher, or a manager that you admired or looked up to? What was it about them that made you inspired?
I had a manager who I admired because of the virtues they displayed – integrity, fairness and honesty. I had occasion to confer with them again today after they ceased to have been my manager for a while and it struck me again how their character is always on display. They had made a decision on an issue where they were transparent and accountable, and again I admired that.
Romans 12:6-8 tells us that “having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.”
We all have the ability to lead simply by displaying the character GOD exemplified and by using our gifts wisely. By using our talents to serve GOD and others we can inspire and guide each other without necessarily noticing it.
I hope we all take the time to assess our abilities and use them for good. You never know who is following your example.
God bless you ~M
